Last weekend, I treated myself to the treat of retreating to a retreat. It was so fab I have promised myself I will re-treat myself to more retreats in the future.
(Yes, lots of tautology in the sentence above, in an attempt to push through our frankly limited language and word libraries to convey how deeply impactful the day was. There are only an estimated 171,146 words in the English language – not nearly enough in my opinion!)

The theme was ‘ReNEW You’ and everything about the day was about releasing old stuck habits, refreshing our spirits and starting new chapters of life with literally ReNEWed energy.
It’s all too easy for us to feel stuck in our habits or thoughts. Sometimes we realise we want something to change but we are impatient for it to happen and when it doesn’t happen quickly enough we (oh look, here it comes again…) retreat to our old familiar ways. But, if we are willing to put consistent effort in and be patient, huge changes and even miracles can and will happen.
Because life doesn’t give you what you want in one moment – it gives you who you are on a regular basis.
The results we’re all seeing today in our businesses and lives are based on what we’ve done in the past. The results we’ll see in a month or a year or 5 years from now will be based on what we do today.
So, where do you want to be at a certain point in the future. What are you doing? What kind of leader are you? Who are you as a person? Try to observe what you are doing, your daily habits and tasks. Do they feed into the persona you want to be a year from now? If yes, great, keep doing that! If not, what could you do differently?
